I am not a doctor, but I would not be too worried at this point.  A high rheumatoid factor can be indicative of many different thing, including rheumatoid arthritis.  A rheumatologist  will be able to run many more tests including a joint count where he tests for tenderness in the joints.  I have included a wonderful site that tells all about rheumatoid factor and what it might mean for you.  http://www.healthcentral.com/rheumatoid-arthritis/c/53/15969/factor/ I hope all goes well for you and your husband and please know that we all here for you when you need support.  Good luck and best wishes!
