I did a bit of research on vascular growths and discovered that they are pretty rare. What this means depends on the number of things, which are unfortunately beyond my expertise. You can find more information in Google by searching for "vascular growths on finger" and this may help your wife and you to start putting together questions for her doctor. I highly recommend that your wife make another appointment with the doctor who diagnosed her to have a more in-depth discussion regarding the implication of her diagnosis. Good luck!
