Q: Is anyone with RA on SSD?

Has anyone with RA been able to receive social security disability benefits? What is the process?

Thanks

Kathy, SSD is a long process anyways. But with RA, I think SSD is beginninbg to see it is crippling. Go apply and don't be surprised if you get turned down, everybody does the first time, just reapply. Tell them your aches & pains, talk to your Dr. and ask him or her if they think you should work. I've been disabled for 19 yrs. My RA is not getting better. I know at 1 time SSD told me that I would be getting better, made think what did they know that I and my drs didn't know. I wish I was wrong, not getting better even with elbow & shoulder replacements.

Good luck,  hope this helps.
