Hi, first of all I would like to thank everyone that replied to my question about Prednisone. I really appreciate all of the helpful advice I received. I am doing somewhat better now as a result of taking Nabumetone, 5oo mg twice a day. It's a little hard on the stomach, I've had to go on Prilosec (after losing 23 lbs.in a few short months) along with my medicine & it is helping. My latest problem though is the loss of tissue around the injection site on one of my elbows! It is very unsightly & quite noticeable during these summer months. Has anyone else ever had any problems with this happening after a cortisone injection? I was surprised whenever this happened to me since I already had injections in my feet & shoulder & this never happened before. I'm told that it will fill back in with time & look like it did before. I sure hope so. Other than that, like i said the new medicine is working better than the others I've tried so I've been able to steer clear of Prednisone & Methotroxate (?) which are my next choices of drugs for my pain. Doc said no more injections for me after my last one caused such a bad side effect. Sounds good to me.

Take Care,

Connie G.
