I'm fairly new to all this myself, but it seemed to me this was a question that deserves some type of response.  My understanding is that the docs are not so much concerned about the bloodwork to check on progression, that stuff is primarily done from a diagnostic standpoint.  I believe monitoring the "progression" as you put it has more to do with how you are feeling.  Are you experiencing less pain, swelling?  Are you able to go about your life with fewer issues?  OR are you increasingly more fatigued and less mobile?  If you are having more issues there are things they can look at (Xrays, MRI's, fluid analysis etc.) to figure out what's going on, but I don't beleive there is anything that can line you up on some sort of chart as to how you're doing.  Someone else help me out here though, cuz I'm not certain.

Yes i think your last answer you were given was correct, Xrays do show you wether your RA is progressing, But saying that, Ive had RA for sixteen yrs, and i havent had xrays for nearly ten yrs now, I know my condition has moved on in this time, Methatrexate injections into the joints have helped alot over this time though to reduce swelling and such:) Dont push yourself to hard, pace yourselfLaughing
