Many people, not just with RA, can feel weather changes in their joints.  Last summer a study was published showing that changes in temperature or barometric pressure really can affect the joints.  I have heard many people say that their symptoms get worse in the winter, especially on cold, damp days.  Maybe that's why so many people move to warm weather climates as they age or develop RA and OA.    I'm the opposite though.  I feel great in the winter and I love the snow.  But heat and humidity make my hands and knees swell and I get stiff all over.  I grew up in Northern Ohio but now live in Maryland and the hot, humid summers just wreak havoc on my hands, knees and hips.
