anyone know what these results mean

I have had pain in my both ankles, feet and toes for a long time now.  Saw a rheumatologist and he did a rheumatoid factor, he sent me the results but is out of town for a few weeks.  Can you tell me what this means?
Rheumatoid factor by latex
Rheum-factor 1:160 A             RFQnt 31 H
Rheum-factor:RA:A pos. result neither rules in nor rules out rheum A.  Likewise, low/neg titers/results do not exclude RA.  Assess with clinical and other lab findings.
RFQnt: Results >12 IU/ml are positive.  RF titer is estimated from prior correlation studies.

You will want to call your rheumatologist office and have them explain these results to you.  What I take it to mean is this:  You have a positive rheumatoid factor but one that seems no be in the normal range.  Now, what your rheumatologist is probably going to do is factor in these test results with your history of symptoms.  He may even want to do some xrays to see in there is any indication of damage.  Even though your RF may be in the normal range, it doesn't rule out RA.  You rheumatologist can better explain this to you and what it means in your case.  Good luck and best wishes!
