Hi Nort,

Yes, I have been taking Minocin/minocycline for years.  I have had RA officially for 22 years but know I had symptoms since I was 20. About 15 years ago I was on Methotrexate for 3 years till it made me too sick so I quit. My Rheumy put me on Minocycline and Relafen plus the Prednisone I was taking all along. I felt much better because there were no side effects. Later when I had surgery on my hands the surgeon said my bones were black...I am guessing gray but I didn't see them. I had read that people taking this had dark bones in so I told him but he insisted on sending a specimen to the lab. The bones were ok and I don't mind having any color bones as long as the meds are helping.

Hope you find a treatment that helps, Bon
