Hi Gizelle
I have the same extreme tailbone pain, and my rheumy also does not believe that it has anything to do with RA, according to him RA doesnt affect the tailbone at all, but I am not convinced. I have heard of a number of RA pts with tailbone pain, I have read a previous post from someone saying that after she quit birth control pills she started experiencing tailbone pain, so have I. The pain is at its worst when i get up from a seated position. I can no longer sleep on my back because of the pressure on the tailbone.
I would really like to know more about yours and if it is getting better. I have had tailbone pain for 6 months now and have been taking metho 20mg, prednisone, coxflam and plasmaquine for 3 years successfully.
