Q: .How long does it take for methotrexate to get out of your body?

I have decided to come off methrotrexate after being on this a year.I have had a terrible respiratory infection w/a deep bad cough 3 times since january this year.I have had to then take 3 Antibiotics also since january & usually don't hardly ever take antbiotics maybe once a year.

How long does it take to get methrotrexrate out of your body??

It may depend on how long your on it, but my rheuma told me...11 weeks. But i was on it for almost 11 years, so that may make a difference too!

I took Methotrexate for about 6mos and then stopped (without talking to my doc, I was in denile). I started having pain again about 2 maybe 3months after I stopped the meds. I would say that was about the time it was out of my body.
