How long until plaquinil kicks in?

My doctor said it would take up to three months... I think I started with my symptoms again last weekend but it never developed fully like it did the first time...and that time period was about 2 1/2 months..but until last weekend I didn't have any flareups..so its hard to say...but I will say that this time it was way better than when I first got the symptoms. It stayed in my left knee and was there about 24 hours and completely left....hope that helps some.
