Q: Is there an alternative drug to methotrexate that does not have the alcohol dangers?

Methotrexate is on one of the lowest rungs of the ladder of RA treatments, so you have a number of other options.the next time you see you rheumatologist, have a chat with them about other treatment options.

Hi, I am on plaquanil and sulfasalazine and have not had any problems regarding alcohol. It might be different for you though

I loved sulfasalazine as well as penecillimine. I dont believe they have a warning... Reply
