Q: nodules on my feet.

I have nodules size of peas all over the inside of my feet and back of my heels. The left heel underneath hurts all the time when I stand on my foot. Is there any home help? I have been to the foot specialist and he tells me there is nothing really they can do for this. Please help.

unfortunately, I don't know a lot about nodules, but I poked around in Google and found this page. It states that although you can remove nodules surgically, they tend to reappear when they are over an area of "repeated trauma," by which I assume they mean areas that receive pressure when used, like your feet.  So if what you're looking for is a way to get rid of them entirely, it sounds like that might be tricky. However, I would recommend that you get a second opinion from a foot specialist - I'm sure your rheumatologist can refer you to someone good.  If, on the other hand, you're looking for a way to ease the pain of them, specially made shoes or orthotic inserts may be helpful.  Again, I would recommend you speak to your rheumatologist. And if your rheumatologist doesn't give you answers, you do have the option of getting a second opinion from another rheumatologist, as well.

I feel for you.  I so understand your pain.  It is a daily task just to get around anywhere.  Are you seeing a Podiatrist?  Have you had an MRI with the impression from a Foot Surgeon?

What did you mean by Foot Specialist?  Have you seen an orthotist?

I am with you, poor thing.

My journey has been long and , before I found the true diagnosis. If I can give you back the three years of my life that I lost - then you would make me very relieved.

Lizzy-neuroma excision, degeneration of large toe and other foot joints from RA and old fracture.  Post surgical trauma.  Fun!!!!!!
