Q: What name have you heard that describes our hands when they curve outward?

I heard swan.  I see the reason, now picture this a swan in the water resting its head with neck turned backwards.  You get the picture in your head?  Me neither, i see the ugly duckling!  The ugly duckling has a good ending so there you go.  What do you think?

Absolutely. But the ugly duckling turned into a swan and they call a specific finger defotrmity a swan and now I'm wondering if my hands are going to start quacking.

I'll be having nightmares. I can just tell. Smile

Hi Rheumuglity

The swan you are talking about refers to a deformity of the fingers. If by "curve outward" you mean the hand is curving in the direction of the little finger it is called an ulna drift or ulna deviation. It means the hand is curving towards the ulna bone.
