None of the people who answer questions in this section are doctors and therefore not experts in what your blood results mean. Did you receive a diagnosis of RA? I would recommend that you try asking your question again, but keep in mind that none of us are medical professionals. The only advice we can give you is based on own experience and information we have found on this site and others.

ESR = erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and is a measure of inflammation.  But this test does not tell what is causing the inflammation.  I agree with Lene, you really need to go to a doctor for a full evaluation.  You may want to start with your GP (may depend on your insurance).   Is he/she the one who gave you these results? That person should explain to you what the results mean, and/or refer you to someone who can.   Or you may want to try a rheumatologist first since your ESR (sometimes called "sed rate") is elevated.  Please be sure to tell any new doctor all of your medical conditions such as diabetes and all of your meds, so they can treat you in the safest way.

Best wishes,

Ellen
