I checked out the side effects of a couple of sites and didn't find any mention of bloating and weight gain being side effects of Orencia. However, if you're feeling better and are healthier as a result of taking Orencia, it stands to reason that you may gain some weight - depending on how much weight, it may not be a bad thing. If you feel you're gaining too much weight, speak to your rheumatologist and ask for referral for a physiotherapist who can help you design an exercise program that will protect your joints as well as keep you fit. You may also want to check out a post on dieting with RA and exercise with RA.
