Several years ago I got a flu shot, recommended by my doc, and at that time I was on several RX. There are natural ways to keep your immune system strong, that is the route I now use. I hated the thought of putting a virus in my body, plus mercury in many of these vacinnes was a concern for me. Reply

I think most docs state you should get the flu shot to protect yourself, but not the flu mist nasal spray which is a live, weakened virus.

Hi, Jenni!

I am on methotrexate (and the others you are on, plus) and receiving immunizations made from a live virus is contraindicated with the methotrexate. I would talk to the pharmacist and then the doctor before receiving any immunizations. ~Cynthia

My Rheumy did my shot and he knows the drugs I'm on. Reply
