hip pain?
I have the worst pain in my buttoks and tail bone that it hurts to sit and lay on my back is this from my hips?
It could be, but it could also be coming from your back. Does the pain in your buttocks the back of your legs? If it does, it could be sciatica, which usually accompanies some sort of back problem and given that your tailbone is involved, it sounds as if it may be your spine rather than your hips. RA can be in your spine, as well, but there are a number of other explanations why you have this kind of pain. I'd recommend you make an appointment to see a doctor so you can get checked out. While you wait for the appointment, try applying an ice pack wrapped in a dish towel to your lower back several times a day - whenever I have lower back pain and sciatica, ice helps.
