Why are my knees feeling weak and are hurting?

Steve N.
08/15/09

After taking a class on Ballroom dancing, my knees started to hurt. I am 52 and it hurts on either side both knees but not the knee cap. I have difficulty kneeling down and then trying to stand back up. The knees seem weak and it is hard to stand up straight again. This is Both legs.

What could this be?

Thanks.

Steve.

Check with your doctor. It could be any number of things from arthritis (osteo) to an injury of some sort.
