I finally went to a podiatrist "foot doc". I had been c/o feet problems, burning; throbbing; and aching feet to my rheumy, he sent me for an EMG/NCV which came up with neg. results for any kind of neuropathy or radiculopathy. I was not convinced! BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE!!! I went to my PCP, primary care physician, and asked if she could be refrer me to a podiatrist, I have Blue Chip Ins. ----so I have to get the OK from PCP. She said OK. I went to a podiatrist, he was execellent. Basically what is happening with me is that I have so much arthritis in my big toe, which is the primary function for walking properly.  I did not know that!! The big toe is basically how your stride reacts when walking. So I am putting too much pressure on my other toes, which can not handle the pressure, they are not meant to. That's why the bones in your other toes are not as big as the bones in your big toe. (Love learning new info) So I need to wear orthotics in my shoes, of course ins. does not cover this. He made a temporary ones for me, so far so good. Not saying pain is completely gone, but I will take anything that gives me any kind of relief.
