Q: Synvisc injection

Hi everyone.I just had a synvisc injection yesterday and so far everything is going as expected. While researching the drug, I find many mentions of its helpfullness with osteoarthritis, but not many notations of its uses with rheumatoid arthritis or jra. Anybody know anything? If this doesnt work, it's off to the ortho I go, so I would really like this to work.....

Thanks!!

Hello, Daina.  I have had six rounds of Synvisc shots.  They used to help me a lot, but now not so much.  Everyone is different, though.  They used to give me some relief for almost a year, then six months, then three months.  The last ones I had didn't help much, if any at all. Seems like the worse my knees get, the less the Synvisc helps. Hope it works for you!
