Hello Maxine,

Which type of bed are you referring too.  They make a Craftsmatic Adjustable Bed and the basic hopital type bed.  The hospital bed will adjust up and down close to the floor as well as lift your head and torso.  But they are no comfortable.  I do not know how the Craftsmatic bed will adjust or its comfort level.

There are organization out there, that will donate needed medical supplies.  It all depends on your particular level of need, you doctors approval, and you level of income.  There are other organization that will offer discounts to people with medicare/medicaid, or are eligible for country healthcare in your area.

Certain companies such as Goodwill and the Salvation Army in you area may give be able to give you a list of participating organizations as they differ from state to state. Churches can help assist also.

It may help to ask an associate at a medical supply store if they have a list of organizations.

Sometimes I have found it helpfull to get information from people who are in your same situation in your area as each state is different. That is to say, most people who live in an assisted living facility have very little money and need quite a bit of health care assistance and have a wealth of information on how to acquire what they neeed.  The people who work this their offices have a lot of information to give as well.

Maybe if you could let us know what area you live in, we can help with an internet search or others on the website who live close to your area can help.

Thanks,

Ronie
