Sounds as though you have had a rough go of it lately. I have bursitis in both shoulders and both hips. I am not familiar with ansurine bursitis, though.
I do know one thing. Bursitis is PAINFUL. I also know that when my RA meds are working, my bursitis does not hurt nearly as much.
I have had shots in my hips several times for deep hip bursitis, and in my shoulders a few times. They do help...for a while.
I almost had my bursa in my left hip removed surgically, but I had just changed rheumy's and she said, "No" rather loudly.
She said when we had the inflammation under control, but bursitis would get better. She was right. It didn't go away, of course, but I can deal with it now.
Was your rheumy seeing you while you were in the hospital. Any words of wisdom from him or her? I see an ortho and a rheumy, and in my case, my ortho has helped me as much as my rheumy.
I hope you are feeling better. What you have been thru sounds extremely unpleasant. Hang in there!
