Definitely!  You can definitely have RA without the red joints or burning joints.  In fact I didn't start having red burning joint until my RA became severe.  Did you talk to your doctor about why he believes you are in remission?  It could be that your inflammation levels have lowered and your doctor believes that to mean you are in remission.  If you are getting treatment regardless, then no worries.  But if you believe that you still have active RA and aren't getting adequate treatment, then see another doctor.  Nobody knows your body better than you.  I hope for some relief for you soon!  Good luck, and best wishes!

Hello,

I have been wanting to talk to someone who also has the burning muscle aches.  I am newly diagnosed with RA.  My joints (except my fingers) do not bother me.  However, I have burning muscle pain from head to toe almost.  Just feels as if my muscles are inflamed.  I am starting my 3rd dose of methotextrate, no relief so far.  Just curious what medications you are on.  Everything I am reading about RA mentions joint pain, but not burning muscle pain.  Chris
