Statistics of having RA if RF and Anti CCP Positive

I understand that being sero-positive only indicates 80% likelihood of developing RA.  What are the stats for Anti CCP positive? What are my odds if I'm both??

I don't know the exact stats on this, but I do know that a positive CCP is an even better way to diagnose rheumatoid arthritis.  Yes, it could be very likely that you have Rheumatoid arthritis.  That being said, you can still test positive for both tests and not have RA.  These tests can be positive in other conditions as well.  If have included a wonderful Health Central site where a doctor talks a little about both these tests.  I think you would find it helpful.

Have you discussed these tests with your doctor?  Have you been referred to a rheumatologist?  If you have any of the signs or symptoms of RA you definitely need to see a rheumatologist to confirm a diagnosis.  I wish you good luck, and best wishes!

Yeah I have....all of the above.  Thanks so much for the info though Holly.  I'm still just trying to figure out if I can somehow wriggle out of this diagnosis, you know.  Seeing the "Rheumy" this week.  Just.....yuck.
