Q: Reliv and RA

Told a good friend about being diagnosed and apparently she sells Reliv.  Who knew!  I'm on board now with the whole fish oil and vitamin E thing but generally speaking these "miracle cure" shakes make me extremely nervous.  I know peddling this stuff makes people a lot of money and generally comes with the requisite pyramid sales structure.  While dubious of the health-money connection I also don't want to diss something that may work.  Anyone have experience or even just general thoughts on this?

I actually have never heard of the Reliv.  I do know that it is always a good idea to consult your rheumatologist before starting anything new.  But if you do decide to try it out, let us know how it is working for you.  Good luck and best wishes!

I have met several people who drink the shakes and they swear that it has helped them with their particular problems.  I myself want to try for a few personal issues.

But remember, this is natural stuff which helps the body.  You may take a few weeks before you feel any difference.

Good luck.

The Reliv products have helped my wife enormously. As she experienced the increasing pains of post-polio conditions over the past few years, in September of 2009, she began having severe muscle spasms in her left arm, which is her only good arm. Fortunately we learned about Reliv nutrition in November, and by the end of December the spasms had stopped. She has higher energy levels all through to the end of each day. She was also having debilitating pain when just reaching her arm out a few inches or lifting it up chest high, but the pain has reduced and continues to decrease each week. She can now lift her arm above her head and throw the tennis ball for the dog. We have several friends who have had excellent improvement from other joint and muscle pain, including rheumatoid and other arthritis. Good luck!!
