I get sudden attachs sometimes in certain joints that can be very extreme and frightening. Sometimes it's good just to go to the ER, especially if you have nothing to take but NSAIDS.  But you need to let your doctor know that this is happening right away.  I would not take a lot of NSAIDS for a long time, but especially not Tylenol (you know it can damage your liver). But talk to your doctor as soon as possible.

If your elbow is hurting bad enough that you can't move it, you must get help. But for the moment, alternating ice and heat can help. Get into a position where you don't have to move it and try to relax and breathe.  Try not to panic. But if the pain is bad enough, do just go to the hospital.  I'm sure you need real pain meds.

NSAIDS can help manage your pain, but you never want to depend on them for too long.  Ask your rheumatologists about seeing a Pain Management Specialist to better manage your pain.  Also, physical therapy can help you get better range of motion and also help you cope with the pain.  There are always possible side effects with any drug.  What NSAIDs are you taking?  Were they prescribed by a physician?
