Friday, September 16, 2011 Penni asks

Q: I have a rare skin disease, epidermylosis bullosa, which causes blistering of my hands and feet - from trauma or warm weather, etc. Am I more susceptible to blistering if I take Ratuxin?

I have taken Humira and it worked for four years. Have had four infusions of Remicade with no success and after the last infusion I had hives, swollen face and tongue. My dr. has suggested Orenica or Ratuxin. I appreciate any comments.

Hi, Penni,

I think this is a question for your RD and/or your dermatologist.  Perhaps your pharmacist could also be a resource.  All of us react differently to the same meds, so it is hard to say what reaction you will have.  Please check with your docs, and let us know how you are doing.
