Q: does weakness go with the soreness?

I am having a flare, but it is different than other times. I am having extreme weakness with soreness in my upper arms. Having trouble even brushing my teeth. Aleve does help, but I am concerned because this is new! I am taking MTX. Does  weakness usually happen?

I always recommend that any new, weird symptoms need to be run by your rheumatologist.  although it is very likely that this weakness is related to the information in your body and will be reduced once the methotrexate kicks in, talk to your doctor about it, as they will be much more qualified to give you a definite opinion.

sometimes yes.  Usually a short dose of pred. helps me until the flare ends but i have found nothing else.
