Q: Does physical Location affect RA Flare ups and Inflammation

Hello

I recently moved 400 miles north of  my hometown and noticed immediately that my inflammation went down . when I went back home it came back and then went away when I went back north. Does anyone have any information as to where is the best place to live with this disease? Is this in my head or is it true? PLease respond to my email At Bossladytwo@yahoo.com

Thanks ELizabeth

I think location can definitely affect your symptoms, maybe it's altitude or humidity level.  Lots of people say they feel better in warmer, more humid weather like Florida, but I flare much more often in the summer when it's humid.  I moved from Northern Ohio (snow belt) to Baltimore, MD four years ago and my symptoms are much more pronouced in the nasty summer humidity here.  I don't think there is one best place for everyone, but if you feel better at your new place, then that's wonderful.

Best wishes
