I think location can definitely affect your symptoms, maybe it's altitude or humidity level.  Lots of people say they feel better in warmer, more humid weather like Florida, but I flare much more often in the summer when it's humid.  I moved from Northern Ohio (snow belt) to Baltimore, MD four years ago and my symptoms are much more pronouced in the nasty summer humidity here.  I don't think there is one best place for everyone, but if you feel better at your new place, then that's wonderful.    Best wishes
