Q: painful nodule on ball of foot?

Used UCBL inserts for years- I developed a painful nodule on ball of one foot and felt as if

a bone was protruding under the skin. Used corn pad with hole in middle and stopped

using the inserts and put softer pads in shoes.

any idea what the nodule is and any other suggestions how to treat.

2. also want to good pair of tennis shoes--any brand more supportive ?

I too had a "knott" on the bottem of my left foot. My M.D. thought it was a wart. She tried to freeze it, to not avail. I was sent to a podiatrist. He operated three times, sent it in for biopsie, come back as "benine growth of unkniown orgin". Five years later I still have to trim the callus with a razor blade caused by the operation. Do it over? NO WAY!! The callus causes me to walk on the side of my foot which caused another callus that has to be trimmed. Don't let anyone call it a wart!!!  good luck
