Has anyone had negative anti-CCP and still diagnosed with RA?
Yes, I believe it is possible to have a negative anti-ccp and still have rheumatoid arthritis. However, most of those people had a positive rheumatoid factor. Have you been tested for RA? If so and you did have a negative anti-ccp were you also tested for a rheumatoid factor? If you have been told you do not have RA but still feel that may not be accurate I would recommend talking to your doctor, explaining your concerns, and have him explain his findings. If you still aren't sure after all that then you owe it to yourself to get a second opinion. Good luck, and best wishes!

Yes, I had a negative anti-CCP but a high RA factor.. From what I was told by my doctor is that you have to look at the hole picture with this not just one blood test.. He has some people that test negative with the RA factor but they still have Ra. Then 6 months later it shows in the blood. Just Like Lupus, it is hard to pin point that as well and these are sister diseases. Always if you are not happy with your doctor go to another. Hang in there, they will get it right it just takes time.
