Hello, Rain,
I don't know of anything all natural that will completely control RA. Some people do have some relief by changing to an anti-inflammatory diet, but they still need to take a DMARD to control joint damage. A healthy diet is critical when you have a chronic disease to help you feel your best. Also, light exericise, even just walking can help keep your muscles strong and help your joints remain stable. I can't walk very far anymore because of knee and hip problems, so I am going to check out our local YMCA. They have a pool, and that is a great way to exercise without putting excess strain on already swollen, sore joints.
Peace,
V
the short answer is no. At this time, your best option for suppressing your RA and protecting your joints from damage is allopathic medicine, i.e. Western medicine. Luckily, there are a lot of options available to you in terms of medication and most people tolerate the meds well with very manageable side effects.
there are a number of alternative therapies that may help you manage pain, such as acupuncture, shiatsu, etc. However, in order to protect yourself, speak to your rheumatologist about the options for treatment.
