Q: Is the drug that you only need one inj per year?

I am asking about the injection you only need once a year for RA (is it Simponi)

Hello, Evelyn,

 

I do not know of any biologic that you only inject once a year.  Simponi is not a once-a-year drug.

 

You may be talking about a medicine for osteoporosis.  I believe there is a drug that treats osteoporois that is only taken once a year.

 

Have you been diaqgnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I believe the drug you're referring to may be Rituxan. You get an infusion and then you don't need another one for 6-8 months. We have a post about Rituxan and some of the other Biologics, and you can also read Lisa Emrich's posts about her own experience with the drug here and here.
