To be honest, I have no idea - I don't know enough about what's involved in a colon detox, so I can't give you any solid advice. It's possible that it could be too much for your system, but on the other hand, who knows....? I would recommend you discuss it with your doctor before you begin any such treatment.

Thank You so much for the effort in answering my question.  I went ahead and started it anyway,  I was real tired this weekend, but have been feeling great for the past two days.  It has now been 5 days since I started it.  I am going to see my doctor this week so....  Thanks again, I'll keep you updated.  I cant imagine that cleaning out your system of toxins is ever a bad thing, so we will see!

There are all kinds of "detox" programs around, some may be helpful, and some have made people very sick.  Myself, I'd prefer something like a juice fast, which I used to do for short periods (like 24 hours) before I had RA.   But with the meds I take, I don't want to be taking medication on an empty stomach.

Naproxen is VERy hard on the stomach.  It can cause GI bleeding.  Are you supposed to take it with food, and how will that work with this "dextox" program?  I agree with Lene, please talk with your doctor before you go too far with this ...

Most doctors say there is no need to detox the colon.  I'm not sure I woudl go that far, because even the prep for a colonoscopy can feel cleansing, if it's one of the more gentler forms.   And I remember that the clinical study about vegetarian diet for RA had the patients first do an 8-day fast with a colon cleanse of some kind, to clear the "old" digestive flora out so they would all be starting clear.  The food we eat determines what bacteria settle in and what digestive chemicals need to be made to digest that food.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing!
