Q: Does humidity and heat affect rheumatoid arthritis?

I guess that would depend on who you are and where you live.  I live in central NY, where its always wet.  But when the humidity is over 60% and its above 80 degrees I am sore like  you wouldn't believe.  But when the humidity is up from Oct thru Dec and its cool to cold I always have a really bad flare where my toes swell so much that I can't bend even the balls of my feet started to swell last year.  I do believe that the humidity causes these problems, some one might disagree with me that that is the problem. I just sweat it out in the summer and get different drugs in the fall.  If it is bothering you too much seek your dr's help.

I live in Fl where it's humid all the time...i do better here than in NY where it's cold and I used to live.

I know it affects me...I feel like someone put my whole body in a vice..

I live in south Florida all year--fun fun...I stay inside many days!!!

I lived in New Mexico where it is hot and dry. I felt awful. I now live in Illinois and do a bit better.
