Hi my name is Anthony and i am 17 and i was diagnose when i was 11. I am new to this web site but i hope i can make some friends here because you dont find to many people were im from with the same problems. Through the last couple of years i had alot of growing up to do. I am now trying to learn everything i can to help with my arthritis and that is why i am looking to you. Can anyone give me some tips an things they may do to help? I hope it might not only help me but others as well. Thank you for you help.
Welcome to the site, Anthony! I got JRA when I was four, so I know a little bit about what it's like to grow up with this disease - if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.
I do have a few tips for you. Check out a post I wrote a while ago about parenting teens with RA - there are a couple of links in there to online resources where you can connect with other young adults who live with this disease. We do have several members here on MyRACentral who are about your age and I would suggest that you write a SharePost introducing yourself - SharePosts often get more traffic than the individual questions in this area and you'll probably be able to connect with users who are close to your age through one of those. I'd also suggest that you check out our area for the newly diagnosed - although you are not new to this diagnosis, this area contains a number of posts dealing with the different aspects of learning to live well with RA.

Hi Antman!
You found a good place for support! Lene posted a bunch of good stuff to follow. The newbie section was very helpful to me when I joined this site. Check that one out for sure. Sounds like your are on the right track chasing down info on RA, the more you know they better off you are.
