Q: Grape seed extract for RA

Does anyone out there take grape seed extract for RA?  I was taking it and it did seem to lesson my symptoms.  The health food store told me to take 2 400 mg tablets in the morning.  Just curious if anyone else has had any benefit from this.

Hi, Chris,

I am just stopping by to say high and welcome to our community. I have never taken grape seed extract, but I have recently read much about its health benefits. It will be interesting to see if any other members are taking this supplement with good results.

Best Wishes,

V

Thank you for your response.  I was taking it for awhile, and I did notice some improvement.  Also, it lowered my blood pressure.  I've stopped taking it for now since I just started taking a new RA drug (Arava), and I want to be able to see if it is the new drug that is helping me, or the Grape seed extract, so I stopped it for now.  Best wishes, Christine

A lady in line behind me in a store told me her mother used grape extract for her

arthritis.  She suggested I try it.  I was hurting so bad that day.  She said her

mother had not been able to barely get out a chair but now can walk with a cane.

I plan to try it tomorrow when I can purchase it.  She told me to take 8 a day for 2 weeks , 6 a day for 2 weeks and then daily as instructions say.  I have osteo arthritis , gout & fibromalygia. I plan to try it ....if it does not help it should not hurt.
