Teen with PA

My daughter has been on methotrexate for almost 6 months and we still don't see any change. She has Psoriatic Arthritis and I am concerned with her moods. She is really down on the days she is hurting and sleeping a lot. Sometimes I just wonder if it's because she's 16 (the teen thing) or if it's the arthritis. Any suggestions from those who have... A must-read book by a physician

The book "When The Body Says No" by Gabor Mate, M.D. is a must read for any person interested in RA - I found it very enlightening, and recommend it HIGHLY to everybody who is sincerely interested in understanding how pre-conditions for RA originate in early life, and what causes flare-ups, and how to work toward a remission.

My 13 y/o son has RA

My question is. My son has been on Methotrexate since March. He gets VERY bad stomach acid and vomits alot. He actually has stomach acid come out his nose frequently. Have any of you had this experience. I am at a loss. I wish there was something I could do to help him with his side affects. He take 1mg folic acid daily and he takes nexium. It... MTX or hormones making my pre-teen sick?

My 11-yr old daughter was diagnosed with JIA in October of '08. She is currently on a very low dose of 3 tabs/week as her arthritis seems to be non-existent.
