Drugmaker Pharmos has announced that its new Voltaren cream to treat osteoarthritis (OA) is moving into Phase II clinical trials. This topical form of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) is designed to deliver a high concentration of the med directly to the OA-affected joint. This could help patients who can't tolerate oral NSAIDs manage their OA pain.
