Drugmaker halts development of new RA drug

Drugmaker Biogen has announced that it is halting development of a new rheumatoid arthritis (RA) medication. The drug, baminercept, failed to show that it was effective at treating RA in a mid-stage clinical trial. Biogen officials say they will continue to study the data on the drug and will present it at an upcoming scientific meeting. Read more »
