Finger length may point to arthritis risk

If you're a woman whose index finger is shorter than your ring finger, you may be at greater risk for developing osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee, researchers say. In fact, scientists say having a shorter index finger may double the risk of OA of the knee for all people. People whose index fingers are shorter have lower levels of estrogen, and OA is associated with lack of estrogen.  Read full story >
