FDA: Do not use Clarcon skin products

Officials at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are warning consumers not to use Clarcon skin sanitizers and skin protectants because they may be contaminated with a bacteria that could make users sick. The germs found in the products during FDA testing can cause dangerous infections of the skin and underlying tissues. The Clarcon products are sold under a number of brandnames, including Citrushield Lotion, Dermasentials DermaBarrier, Dermassentials by Clarcon Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer, Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment, Skin Shield Restaurant, Skin Shield Industrial, Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion, and Total Skin Care Beauty. The FDA says users should refrain from using the products and dispose of them in household trash immediately.
