How painkillers can lead to cardiac arrest

Since Michael Jackson's death, there has been a great deal of speculation about his use of painkillers and whether this use may have contributed to his death from cardiac arrest. Some theorize the pop star was injected with Demerol before his death, while others believe the cardiac arrest was brought on by a combination of Demerol and OxyContin, a widely abused pain medication.
