Morning best for orthopedic surgery: study

Patients who undergo orthopedic surgery may lower their risks of unplanned follow-up surgery later on by having their procedure done between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Researchers found an increase in follow-up procedures among patients who had their surgeries done after 4:00 p.m., and they say this may be due to the night shift surgical team not being as rested as their daytime counterparts.
