New drug eases OA without raising blood pressure

According to a new study, a new drug called naproxcinod helps ease knee pain related to osteoarthritis (OA) without raising users' blood pressure. The study compared the new medication to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) naproxen, and found it to be as effective at OA pain control. The researchers also found that the drug did not raise blood pressure any more than a placebo.  Read full story >
