New RA drug progresses in clinical trials

Drugmaker Galapagos has started a second clinical trial on its new drug for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), currently known as GLPG0259. The new trails are based on positive results from the drug's first studies in humans that showed the drug was safe with oral dosing. Galapagos plans to use this data for the first studies in patients with RA, set for 2010.
