Lack of health care worsens women's quality of life: WHO

Researchers at the World Health Organization (WHO) have found that women around the world lack essential health care throughout their lives, and this negatively affects their quality of life. This lack of access to healthcare services was found to be particularly critical for teenagers and elderly women. Though women generally live longer than men worldwide, scientists say that women are not able to "reach their full human potential" because their critical medical needs are not being met.
