Chicken Collagen May Treat RA: Study

Chinese scientists have found that chicken collagen may help reduce the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In a study of 503 RA patients, scientists found that those given capsules containing chicken type II collagen--which is found in chicken breast cartilage--showed significant improvement in joint function. These patients also showed fewer side effects than are experienced with the standard treatment of methotrexate.  Read full story >
